Fiat Punto Production Car complete

The Maurice Thomson Motors Fiat Punto HGT Abarth is finished and ready to race.

With the first round of the production class only a week away the team are looking forward to a great season, that sees them travel  to the  most southern racetrack in the world and act as a support class for the A1GP at Taupo Motorsport park.

We have tracked progress of the car with pictures during the build which you can see on or motorsport page.

We have had two test sessions in the car which proved that we should be reliable and and competative during the season. Thanks to some help from some friends in Italy and Barry Rabbit  in Ireland we have been on the money in testing fairly quickly. We hope this trend will continue when we visit tracks we have not seen before.

Round 1 of the Production Championship will be held at Pukekohe Park Raceway on the 2 - 4  November. With 28 cars, 1 Scratch Race, 1 Top 10 Reverse and 1 full reverse grid race we are going to be in for a great weekend.
